September 16, 2014 By margarett henley This review is from: And God Opened a Door (Kindle Edition) What a wonderful book. I could not stop reading until I finished. It was uplifting and inspirational. I give it my highest recommendation.
The writing in this book has a romantic tone to it, and for the most part it is delivered in simple language that even a child can understand. “Surrounded by divine light throughout the journey, Maryam was little aware that upon their arrival, she’d been carried to a cloth covered straw bed to lie on.” And later, “Maryam felt to be lifted above the surrounding angelic presence watching over her body as it opened for the birth.”
The author, Christian Ashley, studies the cognitive processes of creative expression, which dovetails into her own method of writing. Her ideas start upon the basis of research into the Essene philosopy and the historical location and time, and then they take a life of their own as they evolve through dreams and visions. In a deeply philosophical tone, Yeshua says, “Through the illusion of death, I will show the world that I AM not a body. I AM — as we all are — the eternal, divine energy of God.”
One note about the the look of the book. Lovely cover, based on art by the author. And, there is a miniature image above each chapter name, displaying a geographical map or a painting (again, by the author.) Each chapter name is flanked by a sun symbol to the left and right of it. Just, attention to detail.
